Rylee Weber is a sophomore at Washburn Rural who is going to formal. Rylee says that she would prefer to add more line dance songs to the DJ’s playlist. Our theme for this year is Winter Wonderland and Rylee says that she likes it but it is kind of basic.

Her planned routine to get ready for formal is to get ready at a friend’s house, take pictures, and then eat. She and her friends plan to go eat at Olive Garden. Rylee thinks that although formal dresses are expensive, they are reasonably priced for the quality. The dress that Rylee is wearing is from an online website called Windsor. She does agree that the chosen location is nice. Unlike prom, she does not believe that if there was a choice, formal would be limited to certain grade levels. 

Avery Hemsely is also a sophomore at WRHS. This is her first formal. She thinks that the DJ should play more 21 Savage. Avery likes the theme but she would really like to see a Miami themed one formal at some point. She also would like to see more decorations.

She plans to get dressed, go get food, head to the dance, hang out with a few friends afterward, and then go get more food. Avery believes that freshmen should not be allowed at formal. She also plans to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings before heading to the dance. She does not know the location so she does not have an opinion on it at the moment. Avery does think the price of dresses are reasonable because of how good quality the fabric is.

Karlee Horyna is a junior which means she’s gone too many of our school dances. She likes the theme we are having but she wished that the school got a little more creative. Karlee wished to see a theme that people could get creative with their outfits so everyone doesn’t look the same in dresses and tuxedos.

Every year we have a DJ that plays some pretty good jams but Karlee would like to hear some 2000’s songs or songs that get everyone hyped up and dancing. She thinks the dance is located in a good spot because it has enough room for everyone to fit comfortably.

Karlee knows dresses are expensive so she normally shops on amazon for her dresses because they are a reasonable price and have great quality dresses. She likes to do her makeup and hair at home because it’s simple and cheap and you don’t have to pay anyone to do it for you. She thinks formal should be only for sophomores and up because they act more mature in a public setting. Lastly people eat before or after formal and Karlee plans on eating at a fast food restaurant the not fancy but serves some good food.
