The 2025 Unified Sports teams have had three exciting weeks of basketball and bowling. 

On October 14, the bowling team had a meet in Lawrence where they played against 18 teams in total from several schools. The three Washburn Rural teams placed third, tenth, and twelfth. During week two of of bowling, they hosted senior night at West Ridge Lanes. The seniors include Maxwell Guth, Gentry Scheid, Conner Schonlaw, and Parker Dixson. They were recognized during the meet and played six strong games. Their most recent meet was back in Lawrence where they bowled against seven other schools. They played hard and are looking forward to their last regular season meet next week at West Ridge Lanes.

Some of the unified pairs got to experience the 2025 Youth Summit on October 20. It took place in Kansas City at the College Basketball Experience where they listened to guest speakers and had fun collaborating in different activities. The unified basketball season ended on October 25, when they had their last tournament at the middle school.
