On Tuesday April 9, 2024 the Lady Blues had their first home game of the season against Bishop Caroll ladies. The Lady Blues record so far is 5-2 and they’re hoping to walk away with a win. The game started off great with amazing defenses from both sides. 10 minutes into the game, both teams putted on a great fight and have gotten chances to score. The Junior Blues almost scored, but it ricocheted off the top of the goal post. With a couple of minutes in the first half Erika Bovell (number 10) of the Junior Blues had an opportunity to score with a great fast break but was blocked by the Bishop Caroll goalkeeper. After a hard battle the score is 0-0 going into the half. The first half showed that defenses came to work and coming out of the half the Blues are hoping that the offense wins the game for them.

When halftime was over the Lady Blues were ready to finish it out. Eight minutes into the second half the first of the game came from Erika Bovell of the Junior Blues. With the assist from Hayley Legg. With 30 minutes left in the half the defenses are still a big factor in the game and not allowing any chances to score. There are ten minutes left in the game and the Blues just had an amazing safe by Mackenzie Flood. After an amazing fight the Junior Blues won the game with the final score being 1-0. With tonight’s win that brings the Lady blues overall win to 6-2.

Next game for the Lady Blues is on April 12, against Hayden High school at home.
