Throughout the summer, Washburn Rural High School will be hosting “Walk and Talks” for the incoming 2030 class and any other students who are new to the district. These tours will be held on multiple dates throughout June and July and are free to attend.
The tours will be led by WRHS student ambassadors, who have been recommended to assist. They will be answering various questions and showing students around the campus. The incoming students will also get an opportunity to meet with Mr. Raines to gain information about the 2026-27 school year. Parents are welcome to accompany their students so they can learn more about the school as well.
In past years, many students have benefited from attending the tours. They get to learn their way around the school before the halls are packed and stressful on the first day. Getting to know a familiar face is also something comforting for new students who are in an unfamiliar environment at the beginning of the school year. We hope students and families will take advantage of this opportunity to get to know their new school community.
