This past Wednesday, the WRHS Air Force JROTC unit underwent its unit wide inspection. Regional Director Colonel Sanders was on site to evaluate whether the corps is meeting the required standards.
The inspection started with a mission briefing from senior leadership, highlighting a historic year. For the first time ever, the unit brought home a first place trophy from a drill meet, alongside an impressive list of senior scholarships and post graduation commitments.
The pressure of the inspection continued as Colonel Sanders inspected every cadet individually, followed by a select group of cadets executing the 30 step drill sequence and having another group perform a Color Guard performance.
To wrap up the inspection, Unit Director Colonel Daniels recognized two outstanding leaders. Congratulations to Corps Commander Evan Garcia and Vice Corps Commander Parker Chapman for receiving top cadet honors. The unit ended up earning a score of 92%, placing them in the “Exceeds Standards” category. A huge congratulations to the WRHS AFJROTC program for achieving such a high honor.
