Student Spotlight: Kaitlyn Morris

For this week’s student spotlight we are focusing on the 2023 Cheer Nationals. Our cheer team qualified to go to Dallas this year where they placed 7th in their division. We decided to interview Senior Kaitlyn Morris on her opinion and experience at Nationals.

How do you feel about the overall performance?

“I feel like we did very well the team and I really showed what we could put on the mat this one last time.”

Where did you perform?

“We performed at NCA nationals in Dallas Texas.”

What would you rate the overall experience?

“My experience has been amazing every time I have been to nationals my last 4 years of highschool. We really bonded as a team over the trip.”

What was your favorite part of the trip?

“My favorite part of the trip was when we went to eat at Maggiano’s because we got to dress fancy and see our family the day before competition and just celebrate our season overall.”

Would you say you were impressed by the team’s performance?

“I was very impressed with each person that was on the mat. Each and everyone of us put the best routine we could out on the mat and really came together as a team. I am very proud of every single person stepping up and doing what it takes to compete at a national level.”
