For this week’s spotlight we are doing our girls basketball coach; Kevin Bordewick  I have asked him a few questions on his thoughts about the upcoming season.

  • Predict how you think the overall 2022-23 season will go
    • “I think it will go great as long as we keep working hard and learning how to do things, as well as competing every possession.”
  • What do you think will be the team’s biggest obstacle this year?
    • “Every year there are obstacles, and we just need to make sure we are not our biggest obstacle. We have to understand the season is a process we have to take day by day, and to get better at something every day we are in the gym.”
  • What have you learned from past coaching experiences that will help you improve your team this year?
    • “As old as I am, I am still learning. Every team, every season is different, and I have to make sure I keep learning just like the players. But from my past experiences, I have learned that we need to get better every day, and if we work hard that will almost always pay off at he end of the season.”
  • What will be the team’s greatest strengths this season?
    • “I think our chemistry, work ethic, competitiveness, and willing to do what it takes to get better every day.”
  • Do you have any advice for the underclassman or incoming freshman?
    • “Always look yourself in a mirror and if you can say you are working hard, then find ways you can work even harder to get better. And if everyone is working hard, then what are you doing to separate yourself to show you can play?”
  • What are you most excited for this season?
    • “Watching the girls grow in the game, getting better, and watching how their hard work pays off.”

Make sure to go out and support your girls and boys basketball games this year!!
