Hadlie Brady and Mia Taggart

For this week’s student spotlight I have asked our starting quarterback a few questions on the teams football season and some advice for the underclassmen playing next season.

  • Share your thoughts on the overall 2022 season.
    • “It was an improvement from last year i’d say, and as a team we had a really tight bond which made it a fun year”
  • What would you say was the team’s biggest obstacle this year?
    • “The teams biggest obstacle this year was probably injury, we had a ton of key players hurt during playoffs and it was a factor in our practices and our games”
  • What have you learned this year that will help you improve for next year?
    • “I’ve learned that preparing for every game like its a playoff game is super important, and that if the team has a good bond it helps everyone be able to work together better”
  • What were the teams greatest strengths/accomplishments this season?
    • “ Our greatest strengths were both offense and defense, our offense threw the ball and ran the ball for a ton of yards which led to a lot of touchdowns. Our defense’s run stop was super good and probably the best in the state”
  • Do you have any advice for the underclassman or incoming freshman?
    • “ Be ready to play at anytime because you never know when the guy ahead of you could get hurt or get sick or anything like that, also know to be ready to work as hard as you can all the time because we want to make another run in the playoffs”
  • Do you have a favorite memory from the 2022 season?
    • “ My favorite memory from the season was definitely against Topeka High when Jamond Lane ripped the ball from the quarterback and ran it back for a touchdown and the entire team ran down to the end zone to celebrate”
