AFJROTC places at Topeka West marksmanship competition

The WRHS #2 marksmanship team placed third place in the Topeka West Shoulder to Shoulder Marksmanship Competition last Saturday, October 1. The team consisted of Thomas Diaz, Ayla Fields, Taylor Leonard and Taylor Johnson.

All participants from WRHS finished in the top 11 with out of the 40 students who competed. Individual scores for WRHS included Nick Fewell (6th), Thomas Diaz (7th), Taylor Johnson (8th), Alexander Jackson (10th), and Ayla Fields (11th)

The competition was the first local in-person match since 2019 and involved eight teams from WRHS, Topeka West H.S., Junction City H.S and Leavenworth H.S.
