Hadlie Brady and Mia Taggart

For this weeks student spotlight we are focusing on our students in theater. Lily Czechanski

answered a couple of questions on her experiences and up coming things in theatre.

  • When did you first decide to join theatre?
    • I joined theatre when I was very young and so I jumped at the opportunity to join theatre at the high school when I was a freshman.”
  • Did someone or something inspire you to join?
    • I hated sports growing up so that is what inspired me to try something new.”
  • What has been your favorite performance you have done so far?
    • At WARU I really enjoyed Puffs my sophomore year.”
  • Do you have a play you are currently working on now?
    • I am currently on the costume crew for Much Ado About Nothing because I really hate Shakespeare but I still wanted to be involved in some way.”
  • Are you going to pursue theatre or acting in college or even as your career?
    • The goal is to pursue theatre as a career in some aspect or another.”
  • What do you find the most challenging when it comes to theatre?
    • Personally, memorizing is the hardest part of theatre. It doesn’t come as fast or naturally for me as it does for some people.”
  • Do you have any advice for people thinking about or wanting to get into theatre?
    • “DO IT. It changed my life for the better and I have never been happier than when I am on stage.”

After hearing from Lily we encourage everyone to go and support our theatre students at their next play!
