For this week’s Student Spotlight we have decided to focus on our volleyball team . We have chosen to interview player Destiny Ochs.

What has been your favorite part about being on the Washburn Rural volleyball team?
- “ The environment and support from the fellow teammates.”
What do you think will be your team’s biggest obstacle this year?
- “Connecting as a team after losing seniors from last year.”
How would you describe your motivation for 2022’s season?
- “To not get fourth in state this time if we make it.”
Looking back on your past volleyball seasons, what has been one of your favorite memories from school volleyball?
- “Getting things done in practice but having fun at the same time.”
Do you have any further plans for your career in volleyball?
- “Hopefully to play college volleyball.”

After hearing from Destiny it looks like we will be having a good season overall. Be sure to attend the games and cheer our student athletes on!
