Hadlie Brady and Mia Taggart

We talked to one of the captains, Hunter McWilliams, on our WRHS girls soccer team and asked her a couple of questions to get to know about her experience and future for soccer.

  1. Which soccer season has been your favorite in your high school career? My freshman year for sure.

  2. What extra responsibilities come with being a captain? Just going above to make sure the new comers feel welcome and know how we roll. Making sure they are comfortable and confident on the field.

  3. What is it like playing your senior year with your sister? We haven’t played a lot yet but it’s an experience I can’t wait to share with her.

  4. What do you plan on majoring in at Washburn University? I plan on majoring in nursing or going on the pre-med track.

  5. What are you most excited about for college? I’m most excited for soccer season and getting to know the college life!

  6. What is one of your favorite memories from high school soccer? Going to state championship freshman year. We got to spend the night in Wichita for two days and we were so excited for the game.

  7. What challenges have you overcome in soccer? Definitely coming back from my foot surgeries and being ready enough to play. Also finding a voice and being a leader. When you’re younger it’s harder to be confident but you have to find your strengths and realize that you come with different traits that make you stand out!
