FORENSICS
The WRHS Forensics team traveled to Lawrence this weekend to participate in the Lawrence High School forensics tournament. The team finihed the weekend with 24 finalists along with eight state qualifiers. As a group they took first place in the team sweepstakes.
Tope finishers for the weekend were; Rebecca Reed, who was first in DX. In the DI category Cade Nelson placed first while in the category of SQ, WHRS had four placers: Miriam Smith finished second, Anna Halstead finished fourth and Tarrence Byrd and Griffin Reiff finished sixth.
DEBATE
The WRHS Debate team also traveled over the weekend attending nationals in Dallas, TX. Both nationally qualified policy debate teams made the quarter-finals and received speaker awards. In quarters, Kavi Chidambaranathan, Aditi Nimishakavi, Carson Bath, and Jace Raines closed out as the 4/5 seed.
