On Saturday, October 18, our Marching Junior Blues competed in the KBA marching competition at Emporia State University.
It was an all day event that consisted of prelims and finals. The band performed their show titled “The Show Must Go On,” which includes numerous Queen songs. They competed with many other high schools throughout Kansas. Their show got lots of appreciation from the audience. Many people in the stands were singing and clapping along to the songs. The band was less than a point away from making finals, but unfortunately did not make the cut. The band has worked super hard to make their show come to life, and they have done a good job. This Saturday, they will be attending the Neewollah Parade and Marching Festival located in Independence, KS, which will be one of the last marching band events of the season.
