In less than two weeks, students who are signed up for the PSAT will be taking the test.
The PSAT is offered for grades 9-11 and has lots of benefits. For juniors, it can qualify them for the National Merit Scholarship Program or other scholarships that exist. It can also serve as practice for the ACT, which is offered to juniors for free in March.
For freshmen and sophomores, it can give them an idea of what to expect for their junior year. Overall, it can also give suggestions on what AP classes a student should take.
The test consists of reading and math, and takes a little over two hours. Students will take the test on their Chromebooks through College Board’s app Bluebook. Students are encouraged to study for the PSAT. Resources for studying as well as getting information on the PSAT are Khan Academy, the official College Board website, and many more.
