As football season starts up again the Junior Blues Football team is gearing up for the new season! Each season and team is different from the last and Coach Smith talks about how they adapt to the new team every year “As a program we reset each year, so going off of last year’s season can help us with some expectations, but it really is about everybody embracing all of the new roles that they have each season.”
The football team also hopes to find success this season because of the hard work they put in during preseason workouts. Many of the coaches including Coach Smith talk about the positives of preseason workouts. “I feel that preseason workouts are where you lay the base for the upcoming season. “Team chemistry is built in the weightroom, during summer agility days, morning workouts, & team camps. During these times the players’ bodies get stronger & more adept for the wear & tear that they are about to go through for the next few months. So, yes, preseason workouts help with everything that encompasses being a physical, competitive team with great chemistry.”
The Junior Blues Football team takes on Blue Valley West tonight at 7:00pm in their second game of the season!
