Our WRHS Cross Country team had their first meet of the season last Saturday in Manhattan.
The race was hosted by Manhattan High School, and it took place at the Warner Memorial Park in Manhattan. Our Junior Blues won second place overall for the entire meet, which is starting the season off on a positive note. The Boys Varsity/JV and Girls Varsity teams all ran a full 5k, while the Boys C team and Girls JV ran a 4k. Two girls on the Girls Varsity team took 3rd and 5th place. On the Boys Varsity team, we had two people take 2nd and 5th, and two people on the JV team took 3rd and 5th. On the Boys’ C team, all of the top five were from Washburn. Cross Country has another meet at the Olathe District Activity Center this Saturday, September 13th.
