After saying goodbye to 12 graduating seniors the WRHS girls tennis team is welcoming their new teammates and the new challenges of this upcoming season.
The WRHS girl’s tennis team enters the 2025 season facing the challenges of rebuilding after the loss of 12 seniors from last year’s squad. Coach Rose is confident in this year’s squad: “We knew losing 12 seniors last year was going to be a challenge, but we were incredibly excited about the large group of talented freshmen coming in. This year will definitely be more of a building season for us, but we’re confident in the potential of our younger players and the leadership from our junior class.”
The WRHS girls also welcomes new faces and teammates to the squad this year. Halle Owen, a junior on the team, shares her excitement for the season: “I’m looking forward to spending time with all of the girls, new and old and building connections throughout the season! The season is super short but the connections that the team makes during the short time are strong and make practice and tournaments so much fun and I can’t wait to keep getting to know the girls more during season and spending time with the team!”
