After placing third in the 6A state tournament last season the WRHS boys soccer team is gearing up for another great season.
The 2025 roster looks strong with 15 returning varsity players led by Coach Brian Hensel and five senior captains. Coach Hensel is expecting a successful season this year “We have a very experienced senior class to help lead the way this season. Our 5 senior captains have all played varsity throughout their entire high school career and I expect them to provide great leadership this season”.
The WRHS boys season will come with many tough teams and challenges and every game is important for the season “The games against local schools and teams in our league are always games we want to win. Manhattan and all the Topeka schools are important games. We also play BV West, BV North, Kapaun Mt. Carmel and Bishop Carroll which are tough out of league games.” The WRHS boys will start off their season with a home game vs Shawnee Heights on September 2nd.
