Our Kay Club made a big impact last Friday night during the Rural vs. Hayden basketball games by collecting 143 pairs of shoes for Soles 4 Souls. Community members who donated shows received a free bag of popcorn, courtesy of PTO, as a thank you for their generosity. The collected shoes were delivered to our local DSM, which will ship them to those in need worldwide.

Julia Diester, who participated in the event, shared her thoughts on the experience. “Being a part of Soles 4 Souls was really special because it was nice to be able to make a difference in so many people’s lives. Also, seeing so many people get involved was really nice to see.” She also emphasized the importance of these efforts saying, “The people receiving the shoes don’t have the privileges that a lot of us do, so doing something like this to help them will hopefully make a positive impact in their lives.”

Hopefully, this event is a reminder of the power of giving. With lots of support, simple donations turned into life-changing opportunities for others. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this World Service project a success.
