Unified bowling did well on Thursday, November 7, competing against 19 other teams. One of the WRHS teams placed fourth with a total of 671 and another team placed second with a total of 729. The remaining two teams placed ninth and 12. Ms. Sipp, director of the WRHS Unified program, and our Unified athletes will be recognized at the Board of Education meeting Friday, November 8, for being an exemplary program in Kansas. They are a big reason our school is so special because we give these options for these students, so they feel they are not different.
Unified Sports provide a variety of sports that give students with disabilities an opportunity to participate in sports. The next bowling meet is Tuesday, November 11 at West Ridge Lanes at 3:30. This meet will be their last bowling competition of the year.
