Washburn Rural High School is currently trying out a new scanning system for classroom attendance. One of the teachers who is partaking in this trial run is Ms. Burgett.
The new scanning system students scan themselves into classes and may eventually develop a feature to send requests for bathroom or other passes through your phone. You may wonder how does this work and help teachers.
The system runs through Infinite Campus. The classroom will have a scanner next to the classroom door where you scan your ID card or use the bar code on your phone. This helps the teacher keep track of who is tardy and absent and hopefully save time for class activities.
This new system is still working out its kinks but is hoped to be a huge upgrade to our school. So far it has had a good start but we will have to see what the near future brings us.
