This October, teachers will be able to move into their new rooms in the added Innovation Center. This will be an exciting and bigger addition to Washburn Rural High School.
Teresa Golden, Career Development Coordinator, mentions, ¨The building is about 70 percent complete and will anticipate to be complete by late October. The current plan is for students to move into new spaces around November and December. CTE programs are benefiting from the Innovation Center. For example, the Hospitality & Tourism Pathway has been renovated and will be ready for a new Culinary experience in just a few short weeks. Students are already experiencing a new classroom and residential kitchens.¨
Students and teachers all over the school are ready for new experiences and learning opportunities when the new building is prepared. Washburn Rural High School will have more learning experiences for all the CTE programs and we can not wait.
