The Washburn Rural High School Theatre Department is putting on their spring musical Fiddler on the Roof this week.
There are shows February 15-18. All showings are at 7:00 Pm except for Sunday, February 18, 2024, the show will be at 2:00 Pm.
The tickets for this show can either be bought and reserved online or can be purchased at the door. The pricing for this musical ranges from $7-$9. Maeghan Bishop is the head director, Nick Beasley is the scene design and technical director, and Ben Holcomb is the vocal music director.
Many students are involved in theater and for some, this will be their last musical. The main character, Tevye, will be played by senior Griffin Reiff. Another senior, Cade Nelson, will be playing Perchik. This is also a great opportunity for choir students to become involved in theatrical productions and performing on stage. Marianna La Mantia, senior, is heavily involved in choir and will be playing Golde.
Fiddler on the Roof is the story of Tevye who has raised his five daughters with his wife according to Jewish tradition. This is a compelling story of resisting tradition, joy, and heartbreak.
