Earlier this morning, WIBW posted that the city of Topeka joins a national effort designed to protect communities to a lead in the drinking water.
The city’s Utilities Department issued that they will be doing surveys to identify what materials are made up in the water service lines, and that will include public and private lines as well.
The governing Body will hold a meeting at the Topeka City Council on Tuesday night. People will be able to go in person or watch live on Cox, Communications Channel 4, as well as Facebook or City4 Livestream.
The City of Topeka posts yearly their Water Quality Report, which includes where our water comes from, what it contains and how it compares to EPA and state standards.
Keep a look out on WIBW on upcoming information about the water lines.
