It’s January 30 on Tuesday. After a great tournament the past week the Junior Blues were back at home for a game against Blue Valley.  The game started off well with a score by Griffin Durst (senior) within 30 seconds into the game. The game was beginning to be a shootout with 11-11 being the score with 3:20 left in the first quarter. The quarter ended with an amazing dunk by Amari Jones (Junior) to end the quarter with 18-15 being the score. The second quarter started off with great defense by the Junior Blues. In the second quarter the Junior Blues only allowed 8 points. Going into halftime the score was 34-23. The third quarter started off with a great three pointer shot by Griffin Durst. The Junior Blues put on a great performance in the third quarter and ended the quarter with 42-34. The fourth quarter started off really chippy and many fouls. The Blue Valley guys were storming back after being unable to do anything in the third quarter. After what looked to be a comeback the Junior Blues got to work and attacked the Blue Valley defense and put up points before the 2 minute clock hit in the fourth. After an amazing long battle from both teams the Junior Blues won the game with 62-59 being the final score.
