This past weekend Washburn Rurals Varsity Basketball team for Boys and Girls played at home against Kapaun Catholic high school. The girls varsity team won against Kapaun 52 to 26. The next basketball game the girls varsity will be playing against is Junction City on January 2, 2024 at 6pm. For the boys varsity team they also went against the Kapaun boys basketball team. Sadly for Washburn Rural, the boys varsity team lost against Kapaun 45-67. They will continue to also play against Junction city on January 2, 2024 along with the girls varsity.
