On Thursday, December 7, 2023, WRHS Orchestra had their winter concert and last concert of the semester. There are three orchestra concerts: Concert, Symphony, and Chamber Orchestra. Chamber Orchestra, the last concert, ended the night with Hallelujah Chorus joined with the WRHS Choir. The orchestra also played at the choir concert on Tuesday night.
Courtney Nottinghman, the WRHS orchestra director, recognized the students who made the KMEA Honors District Orchestra. This convention was held on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Many WRHS students attended this and put together a great concert at the end of the day. Chamber orchestra also got to practice their KMEA songs in front of an audience, which will be an important performance coming up for them in the spring. There was a wonderful array of Christmas music and this was a great way to end the semester.
