On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, WRHS Girls Wrestling had a scrimmage. This event took place in the WRHS main gym and was from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The doors opened at 5:30 and the first whistle was at 6. This scrimmage tournament is called the Blue/White Scrimmage Tournament and it is the fifth annual.
It was a girls scrimmage where girls in different weight classes wrestle to see if they qualify for varsity. Varsity needs at least one person in each weight class. Most of the wrestlers did two matches. They also had morning practices over Thanksgiving break to prepare for this event. It was a great start to the season and a great way for wrestlers to prepare for the upcoming season.
