What made you want to join golf?
“I grew up golfing with my parents occasionally throughout the summers. When I didn’t love volleyball my freshman year, my dad pushed me to try golf for my sophomore year. I ended up loving it!”
-
Who has been your biggest mentor (does not have to be golf related)? How did this relationship form?
“My biggest mentors are my parents. They helped me with the mental aspect of the game. Golf is a sport where outcomes are easily be affected by your attitude and thoughts going through your head.”
-
What college(s) are you interested in?
“I am planning to attend Washburn University and KU Med.”
-
What was your most memorable practice or tournament this year? Why?
-
Would you recommend more girls join the team? Why or why not?
“I would definitely recommend more girls to join the team. The amount of progress each player shows over their career is crazy. If you are fully committed to the sport, you can get really good at the game just over 2-4 years. Plus, our team chemistry is really good. Everyone gets along great and we have a lot of fun each day.”

What is the biggest challenge you have faced this season?
-
With State coming up, what are you most excited for? What is worrying you?
“Going into State, I was excited for our team to have a chance to beat our team low of the season. I was also excited to play one last round of my high school golf career around a really fun set of girls. I wasn’t worried about much, just excited to be there and make the most of it.”
