For this week’s Student Spotlight we have decided to focus on our varsity volleyball team . We have chosen to interview senior, Ava Bruno. 

• What has been your favorite part about being on the Washburn Rural volleyball team?

• • “Definitely the people. The players and the coaches is what makes this team so special and memorable.”

• What do you think will be your team’s biggest obstacle this year? 
  • “Having a new team means working together and working hard to have chemistry.”

• How would you describe your motivation for 2023’s season?

• • “For me, it is getting to state. Everyday we work and get better together, and I truly believe we can do it.”

• Looking back on your past volleyball seasons, what has been one of your favorite memories from school volleyball?
  •  “All freshman year of volleyball on JV was the best. We had so much fun during tournaments and games.”

• Do you have any further plans for your career in volleyball?

• • “I do not, although I do hope to keep playing or coaching volleyball!”
