For this week’s student spotlight I have decided to focus on our 2023 Homecoming Candidates. I have talked to Senior Madison Stout about her nomination and her further academic career. 

• Who were you nominated by? 
  • “DECA.” 
• What piece of advice do you have for younger high school students?
  • “Believe in yourself and follow your dreams. Take advantage of the opportunities you get and keep an open mind.”
• What clubs are you in?
  • “I am in DECA, NHS, NTHS, and Kay Club.”
• Do you have a favorite memory from high school? If so, what is it? 
  • “My favorite high school memory is when our DECA group visited Orlando, Florida for the DECA Conference. I had so much fun and met people from all over the world.”
• What college are you planning on going to? What for? What major?
  • “ I am planning on going to KU for the five-year Master of Architecture Program.”
• What classes would you suggest to underclassmen?
  • “I would suggest underclassmen take Criminal Justice and Ceramics.”
• If you weren’t nominated, who would you vote for? Why?
  • “I would vote for Megan and Logan because they are my closest friends.”
