For this week’s student spotlight we are focusing on our girls tennis team. We asked Audrey Meek a few questions about her interest in tennis.

Why did you decide to start playing tennis?
1. I decided to start playing tennis because I wanted to do a fall sport and my cousin played tennis.
What is your favorite part? Least favorite?
1. My favorite part of playing tennis is getting to practice and have fun with my teammates. My least favorite part of tennis is playing singles matches.
Who is your mentor? How did this connection start?
1. My mentor is Mrs. Neuschafer. She was my tennis coach freshman-junior year.
If you could play any other sport what would you choose?
1. I am on the swim team in the spring and summer, so I’d have to say swim.
Who is your favorite professional tennis player? Why?
1. My favorite professional tennis player is Coco Guaff because she’s 19 and already has a US Open title
