Washburn Rural football goes up against Desoto High School at home on Friday, September 8, 2023. It is Washburn’s second game of the season, going 2-0. They struggled their first game but fixed what they needed to fix to have a great game.
Jamond Lane is a senior on varsity and one of the top players and said, “Defense locked up, over all it was a good game.” He plays on the defensive side as a D-line, Defensive lineman. Top player of the game, Lafayette Thomson, a junior plays corner and a running back. “The game went fine, stats were 138 yards and two touch downs.”
