What they advocate for is “long-term, sustained commitment towards the funding of KPERS.” The One United Voice also supports a variety of positions for increasing funding to school and the sustenance of those funds. More information can be found on this page about One United Voice. The next item they discussed was the Life Insurance option from KPERS. KPERS is the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, this provides pensions for State of Kansas employees. After that, the Executive Session took place, this is closed off from the public and items discussed in this session are not available to the public. After the executive session, the meeting was adjourned.
