The girls golf team headed to Salina on Oct. 16 to compete in the KSHSAA state tournament. The team competed at Salina Municipal Golf Course. On Oct. 8 the team won regional and had four top 10 finishes.

The state tournament was originally scheduled to start on Oct. 15 but due to weather it had to be pushed back. There was snow and rain over the weekend which caused the course to not be ready in time. At first, KSHSAA pushed the start time to noon on Oct. 15 but then ultimately decided to start on Oct. 16 at noon.

The team took a trip to Salina to practice on the course Oct. 12. Due to weather the team chose to come on this date so that they would not get stuck in the bad weather. The team left the morning of Oct. 16 to head to Salina.

The team placed third overall and had four top 20 finishes. Junior Cassidy McMaster placed seventh and senior Abby Depperschmidt placed tenth. Senior Peyton Luttjohann and sophomore Kaitlyn Crough were the other top 20 finishers.
