Boys Soccer Defeats Chargers

On Oct. 4 the boys soccer team defeated the Topeka West Chargers 10-1. Easton Weber scored two goals. The rest of the goals were scored by Wilder Widman, Finn Arnold, Jake Campbell, Porter Schafersman, Aryamann Zutshi, Kevin Monge, Jaydn Hickel, and Ethan Hensyel. Jake Campbell led the team with four assists. Easton Weber, Ethan Hensyel, Jackson Rohn, Kevin Monge, and Aryamann Zutshi collected one assist each.

This was the first game for the Blues since their tournament in Burlington, Iowa. Coming off of a loss, the boys were ready to redeem themselves. The soccer team is used to playing back to back games so following their second place finish the boys were ready to get back on the field.

The Blues shut the Chargers down early scoring four goals in the first six minutes. At the half the Blues led 7-1 and scored their last three goals in the second half. The soccer team now has a record of 11-1-0. Their next game is on Oct. 7 at Bishop Carroll.
